aasha ramdeen was born in trinidad and currently resides in los angeles, california.
having studied and travelled throughout the caribbean, europe and north america, she received her ba in graphic design, and mfa in fine art in 2002. since then she has worked in various arenas from advertising to the stationery industry, while remaining both a freelance illustrator and continuing to produce commissioned art. as a result, her work has appeared on numerous stationery products, websites, textiles, home décor and private collections throughout the world. aasha's background lies in painting and an early career in modelling - a union that ignited her love of fashion illustration, and the predominantly stylized figures featured throughout her work. she has been the recipient of several honours including best of show in applied arts magazine, and recognition by the advertising association of trinidad and tobago as well as the society of illustrators los angeles.
